My second card for the MIX60 challenge "The Printed Word". I followed the rules on the first, so I decided to stretch it a bit with this one, because it's just so fun!
I scribbled purple and blue gelatos on mixed media paper and added water with a paintbrush, then blended with my finger. I scribbled in some pink and blended. There's some metallic in there; I think the purple and one of the blues; the background has a cool kind if streaky sheen.
After it dried I stamped the image with VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white ep. There are some sketchy areas that didn't stamp well, but I think it works with the feel of the card.
I colored parts of the flowers and some of the leaves with metallic acrylic paints and applied Wink of Stella to the unpainted parts of the flowers. I used Silks acrylic glaze in Emperor's Gold for the centers and stamens (pistils?) of the flowers and then domed Glossy Accents on top.
The trimmed image is popped up with foam tape on a metallic mat that perfectly matches one of the flower colors. Talk about luck. I love how this turned out!
As always, thanks for looking!

This is truly lovely! I adore these colors, and doing the images in white EP works so beautifully! Those gold flower centers domed with GA is a great touch. A wonderful card!

I adore all the colors you used in this card and loved reading about the process in which you created this beauty! I love the raised glazed centers of your flowers and it is framed beautifully! A fav for sure and pinned as well.

I just love the colors in this card. I have seen this stamp before, but you have taken it to a new height. So very creative. I never achieve such awsome results with my gelatoes...i will have to keep trying. Right onto pinterest so I can refer to it for inspiration.
