WT471 ~ Button It Up.
I made this for my SIL's upcoming birthday - finally I get to use sequins and they look OK!!
Because the TH dress form is quite big, this is larger than I normally make my cards, 7" x 5".
I stitched a piece of fancy tissue to the base and trimmed round it, and added a little embossing with white and Aged Teal ep.
I cut the dress form from chipboard, painted it with brown acrylic and stuck burlap over the body part. I pleated some Sinamay mesh and glued it on with a hot-glue gun, and tied a ribbon around. I added a little fabric-coated bird perched on the shoulder. Sequins are attached using French Knots with silver floss. I used Joanne's Pearlized Button tutorial to make a couple of large buttons. The chipboard was embossed with a fan design, and I used several colours of Perfect Pearls.

Fantastic card. It is 2A.M and my sweet old lady dog is having one of her insomniac nights...not too good when you have to get up at 5 am for work. Your card made me smile. I love the bird on the shoulder and thebeautiful blue bkg. All the creative elements made me go back several times to your explanation. Absolutely wonderful.

I had to study this, and take in all the details - it's delightful from the pretty blue bg right down to the finishing touches of the pearlized buttons and mesh - I think I'll be CASEing you on this one, mf!
