I made this gelli print using several colors of acrylic paint and a stencil in hopes of making it for the TCL challenge on Monday. BUT as life would have it, I ran out of "play" time.
I was so excited to see that my hard work was not in vain, when I saw the WT challenge for today, Go Rainbow!
Last night I finished taking a Gelli Print Plus class from Carla Sonheim where she showed how she draws on her prints and paints around them. So I drew a rainbow over the gelli print, did some painting and drawing of the clouds, then stamped the little ant pulling his wagon.
The sentiment was hand written and colored in with gel pens, cutting it out with scalloped scissors, doodling the edges and then popping it up.
I also did some sponging on the edges using Distress inks. Done.
Well, that wraps up another day of fun. My DH is sick and I think he has given me his sickness. Dang, I hate colds! Thanks for stopping by.......:0)

Terrific rainbow with your Gelli print, Cathy. It is so easy for so many colors to turn to "mud" with much manipulation....your work is FAB!! And, of course, your card demonstrates all your creativity and humor. LOVE it!!

You may have outdone yourself this time! The Gelli print looked really cool judging by the rainbow, but how creative to paint your scene on it ( I usually just cover mine with gesso they're so bad!). Fantastic sentiment panel! Love, love, love this!

How sweet is this, Cathy! From your wonderfully doodled rainbow and the happy white clouds (not like our grey ones!!) to that adorable little ant. Hang on - did I call an ant adorable??? Yours is, he reminds me of the Ant & Bee books we had when we were small.
Take care of yourself and feel better soon.
