Spring comes early to this part of California. The cherry plum blossoms have already blossomed, daffodils and poppies are blooming, and some of the trees and grape vines are bursting forth with their new leaves. These flowers look like periwinkles, done up in the purple vellum.
Now I'm no where's as good as Bridget (bfinlay) with the stenciling, but I gave it a good try. I used one of the flowers to cover up a spot where the ink went under the stencil. But I love how the variegated colors look.
Though there's not many leaves on here (just like outside), I am putting this in the VSNMAR14B Beautiful Leaves challenge.
Spring has sprung here in Sonoma County, Ca!

I LOVE that background, Jennifer and your awesome color blending! Love the bright blossoms you chose for it! It's so refreshing to see bright, bold colors after the long winter!
