This card was made for the Way to Use It Challenge WT469 (3/6/14) - Go Green. The challenge was to use green on a card.
Since St Patty's Day is near, this challenge was a nice incentive to make a card to send to a friend. You may notice that there is not a lot of green on this card! The strip of grass and twist of baker's twine in the top knot is all that made the final cut for this card. However, I have LOTS of green parts and pieces that are littering my table as a testament to the fact that I did make a good effort to "go green"!
In case you haven't figured out why there is a cluster of multi-colored baker's twine scraps tied in the top-knot on the card, that is a fiber rainbow, of sorts, and the gold is trinkling down into the pot.
The baker's twine did not cooperate my attempt to maniputlate it into a graceful arc above the falling "coins". It sort looks like a punk-rocker's hair gone bad!!! Sigh. Please envision in your mind the spikes of baker's twine gracefully arcing over the pot below, looking like a free-flowing fiber rainbow.
Thanks for taking a peek at my Pot of Gold, and perhaps for "seeing" the rainbow I intended to create! Happy St Patty's Day!
