I made this card for an upcoming class I'm teaching this Saturday. I want to teach this fun and easy background technique (faux mother of pearl) ... and also how to add dimension by shaping die-cuts with a stylus and mat (leafy backdrop) ... and how to bring a flower to life by adding dimension (sponging / shaping), layering (paper tole), and details (veins and dots).
I struggled making this card until I realized that green leaves just weren't going to work. As soon as I switched to white leaves, it all worked together.
Off to design two more cards for the class that fit the categories I'm teaching ... hoping I'll have more cards to share soon!

I have to agree about the lucky ladies! Love the dimension on your blossom and leaves. Your attention to detail does make all the difference in the die cuts. I try and form them but once I get them on the card, they are all flat again. Another favorite, Loll

Wow! This background is spectacular.. and the dimension of the blossom and leaves is the perfect complement. Those lucky ladies who will get to take your class...I envy them.

How cool is this? You have done an amazing job of adding dimension and interest to the flower and leaves. I agree, lucky ladies that get a one on one with you! The color is yummy and this goes strait into my favorites and pinned as well!
