I made this for Michelle's WTUI challenge this week Green It Up. I blush to admit that I send only one or two St. Patrick's Day cards - this will be one of them.
I followed the Four Leaved Clover tutorial which featured in the Inkling last week.
Since the only heart dies I have are scalloped, I went with that as the easy option. My white card that's smooth for stamping on isn't very thick, so I backed each piece with green Bazzill.
ODBD shamrocks and Irish blessing, which I masked and stamped across all four hearts. I coloured the shamrocks with pencils, and after the sponging I added some white gel pen highlights. The butterflies have green Stickles on them.
The friend this is going to is way less ribbon-challenged than I, so I am sure she'll do a better job of tying it neatly!!
I had a major mishap when I masked the sentiment off to stamp part of it on each panel. Eek - the next morning I discovered that I'd missed a line on the second heart, and stamped a line on that heart that was also on the third one. And I had tidied ALL my supplies away, so I just had to guess at what pencils and inks I'd used as I made a replacement.

I'm with ya on the minimal St Pats cards, and they usually say something like "Cheers", nothing as elaborate and gorgeous as this! WOW! Thanks for going green with me this week!
