This is a combination of two patterns from Karen's Creations. The dragonfly and flourishes are one pattern, while the flower comes from another. In Karen's Creations, she combines embroidery with paper tole. I do my own thing however, so I combined the two patterns.
In the process of doing the embroidery, I wrinkled the cardstock, thus I used the embossing to cover up my bad, and thankfully it worked out nicely, adding another element to the finished work.
The crystals as eyes also add to the finished work.
All of the dragonfly is done using metallic threads, while the rest is done with the rayon threads.
Except for the flourishes (I had to tear out one color and redo), this was fairly easy.
The instructions are rather vague, so it's a good thing I (somewhat) know what I'm doing! haha
A friend also got this pattern, so I was able to let her know what should and shouldn't be done.
