Melissa Banbury had a 3D butterfly on a card some time ago. This is my take on it. I love this Sweet Sorbet DSP. It gives the impression of movement. I stamped the butterfly twice on vellum, with Versamark. One was embossed with black embossing powder, the other with gold (for the inside of the wing). Colored both with the SU markers. Glue the wrong side of both butterflies together with the glue stick. I find that with vellum the glue stick does not buckle this paper like liquid glue. To keep the wings open I glued a ramdon button from my stash up close the the body so it does not show. When dry fold in half and use dimensionals to glue to the card.
For this March CC challenge this card can fit in both the DF and SF category.

Fantastical project. You're right, that dsp does give movement to your amazing butterfly. You are always so great about showing many views of your projects. Thank you for that.
Thank you for inspiring me with this beautiful butterfly.

Gorgeous!! Love your idea of layering a gold embossed and black embossed b'fly ... as well as using a button to keep those wings in a great open position!
