This is for LOVEFEST2014D - The joys, benefits and challenges of crafting OCD! by Stamp-n-Storage
The last time I shared my craft space here I had just one little corner of my grandkids bedroom. Now I have outgrown that!
We finished of our basement a couple years ago and I have a dedicated corner all to myself. It's a lovely light filled space, and while it looks like there are lots of cabinets in this shot, really there aren't as many as you think. The base cabinets were clearance vanity cabinets and we had to take what we could get because they were so reasonable. I managed to get 2-12" base drawer units, (the top drawers are not real though since they are vanities). We made a knee hole area between and that is where I sit to color. Above it I have taken the drawers from the storage cubes on my outside wall, turned them on end and used the drawer dividers to separate my copics and other markers by colors. To the left is a corner area with no cabinet underneath so I have a plastic drawer unit there and it is supposed to be storage for my various stamp manufactures when I get them all packaged, but right now it is almost empty. Above that is where I take my photos.
To the left of that is one more base vanity unit, and that is where I have my die cutting station. In another photo I show that, and that is the part that really isn't working for me and i need help!!!
Just this side of that is an 18" pantry cabinet, and in there I have punches and some dies hanging on the doors. On the top shelf I have my large packs of Neenah card stock, etc.
In another photo I will show the other end of this area. Total size of this is 8'wide by 13' long. For wall space, I'm limited, because most vertical space is either windows on one side or open to our rec room on the other. However.... I LOVE my space and most of it is actually pretty organized! It gets a wreck when I work, but i have to clean it up before I can start another project! LOL! That's the joys of being OCD I guess!!
Thanks for looking!

I love that you have the windows that must let in so much light
I know what you mean about no wall space though.
and I'm wondering out loud if someone handy could maybe take those fronts off the false ( not really drawers) and maybe put hinges on the wood fronts and then maybe you could get those slider trays ( like think modern kitchen pot shelves that pull out of the cupboard so you can see all the pots at once type shelf) inside that space so you could use it?) just a thought.

Grace, thank you for sharing your special spot for stamping. I enjoyed looking at your wonderful space...so much organization and it looks wonderful. I just have a stamping nook in the upstairs spare bedroom...but you deserve it all because your work is beautiful.
