I made this for today's color challenge, Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Midnight Muse. I didn't have the exact colors except for Soft Sky, so I did the best I could. I also played with yesterday's technique... Serendipity and how fun was that!!! I actually made 2 cards using the technique but one will have to wait for later. :)
This card is a little funky for my usual style, but I played with the dessert option to watercolor. I heat embossed this sneak peek at a soon to be released image from ODBD, Bee Balm on watercolor paper, and then watercolored with Distress markers. I then did it again on another piece and cut it out so I could pop it up over the first for some depth. (The card was flat before I did that.) For the squares I used a punch to punch out the fun serendipity paper I made with yesterday's technique. I matted them on the watercolor paper, and then on a Soft Sky card base. The tag sentiment is another sneak peek at another set, Sweeter than Honey, and I cut it with the ODBD Custom Recipe card and tag die. I used some gld thread and page pebbles for simple embellishments.
Thanks so much for looking!!!

This is gorgeous....and a stunning way to combine challenges, Grace. Your serendipity squares are beautiful and your watercolored bg is so well done. I had to do a double take...your "dew drops" look like real water drops on your card in the photo. : )

That's so delicate and beautiful. It reminds me of some of the printed Japanese papers, with the watercolour look and delicate gold. I love the flower echoed across the squares from the focal image - and the watercolour and Dew Drops are totally fab.

Wow! Your use of Sabrina's technique for your side panel is amazing...with your gold embossing, these look like art tiles! Your gentle wash works well with the bold embossing. Lovely layout and image, the gold cord and clear dew drops are perfect details. Gorgeous card.
