This week at ODBD we are to be a secret admirer and case someone you admire or a card you would liek to case but haven't. A couple weeks ago I saw this card by PennyStrawberry....Gallery at Splitcoaststampers realy loved her shadow tile bg and wanted to give it a try.
Fun technique, but they make it look easier...lol...my first attemtp is decorating my guarbage cas as I don't have the diagonal score pall and did not quite score right I slipped on one and went not ;quite right straight angle, but thats the hardest part so np.
I first stamped the Ivy and flowers and sentiment, then scored the lines then punched out a 1 inch square and used that as a guide to sponge with. I first went over the squares with grey then thought I would try a touch of moss over that a bit to give the wall a touch of a mossy look.
then I tought flowers need butterflies and had these guys stamped out sitting on my table and not colored or used yet and they needed a home so colored them with water colors and fussy cut them out...was a win-win...he-he...they have a home and my wall is prettier...;0)
I really like this tech. give it a try and thank you PennyStrawberry for the idea and TY all for the visit..:0)...HUGS

Oh, Wendy, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love your CASE, and I'm sure Penny will be thrilled at your honoring her! I just love the depth you've created with the beautiful flowers and fussy-cut butterflies! Definitely a fabulous birthday card! So glad you've joined us once again this week for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge! Hugs!

This is just gorgeous, Wendy...you did such a perfect job with this technique. Love your image and color choices too. This would fit in with Scor-Pal's Love Fest challenge - you should add the keyword for it!

Wendy your card is beautiful! Isn't it wonderful how we all can use the same technique and come up with something different. (I had some extra score lines too and used those to practice the sponging on.) Thanks for honoring me. It's a great feeling to get noticed by other Splitcoastampers!
