This is my card for the LOVEFEST2014B challenge "Lovey Dovey Spring" - to use an image that makes you think of spring.
The image was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black and colored with Prismacolors. I crosshatched the background with a watercolor pencil and lightly brushed water over it to create the background. After die cutting the image I painted gold shimmer mist over the flowers and butterfly and attached it to the yellow Stately Circle die cut. Since I had a practice image colored (badly), I cut the butterfly from it and popped it up on tiny pieces of foam tape, painting over it with the shimmer mist, also.
I cut a strip of yellow to fit the bottom of the card, stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and embossed with detail white ep. A piece of white cs was punched, embossed and all the pieces adhered to a white card base. I used a corner rounder on the bottom right corner only; for some reason I've developed a fondness for the way it looks...
As always, thanks for looking!

Love the spring theme on this one! Love the bright yellow and got such a kick out of salvaging a part of artwork that you rejected! I am going to start watching what I throw away. Love the robin's egg blue eggs!

So much detail in your awsome card. I am envious of the white embossed words. I stay away from embossing because I usually destroy whatever I am working on with stray dots everywhere. Great coloring and design.
