Here is my project for Sabrina's WTUI challenge today to use Stars. This little journal is a tongue-in-cheek fun project that my neighbor and I are doing to lovingly record all the different hard ciders we are trying. There are just so many; it's hard to keep track I used a few Stars on this project - I stamped with the Distressed Stars colored with Gelatos, but those just looked like polka dots, so I had to do more. I then added the washi tape, because well, I love it. Then, I got frisky and added a title that just looked awful and had to cover it up with gesso and start again. That gave me the idea to use a Sizzix die as a stencil with some more paint. I used several Mix-Ability challenges, too, for ideas on making my book cover - MIX 26 for stencils, MIX31 for drips, and MIX 7 for splatters. There is a TON of stuff going on here, and this box is tiny, so check out my blog for more info on this adventure - http://www.wannastamp.com/2014/02/us...r-journal

What fun it must have been to do this journal cover with all the drips, splatters, etc. It's super!! That big star is shining bright.

Having seen the "before the title gone wrong", I have to say that you did a fabulous job on the recovery - I think the big stencilled star and the green drops really make this. And the overall dreamy soft feeling - it's reminds me of pictures I have in a book that was a collaboration between a physicist and an art class all about the Sun.
