Have you ever wondered why is it the males of the birdies that get the glamorous, glorious, and ogle worthy plumage? Why do we females have to apply product (well, I don't count pinching my cheeks) to add color? I've often pondered this as the Inkadinkadoo peacock sat on display in my studio teasing me with my lack of coloring abilities...this was not the first attempt you see here!
Ally, again you've lived up to your name with this sketch. It is a fun one!
My guy peahen is colored and popped onto another stamping. Not that I planned it that way...my failed attempts at coloring the plumage are on the studio floor, a muddy, murky mess! But then I thought well he does have a gorgeous shimmery, svelte body...I'll just pop him up above the bland tail feathers!!!
I used a silk Mulberry paper as my main panel and embossed the base of the card with a peacock~esque pattern. The sentiment was altered to read:
it was all in {HIS} head
I added Tim's tissue tape to draw the eye away from the bird and a pointing finger with the trim to complete the elements of the sketch!
And you'll just have to trust ME that this looks so much better IRL! Have a strut in' day, 'K!

Susan - what a brilliant, inspired take on the sketch. I was watching a peacock at the zoo a couple of weeks back wishing he'd display his tail, but no luck. At least I get to see yours .
