The Sweet 'n' Sassy stamps challenge for LOVESFEST2014 is a Colour Challenge.
Now, colour challenges freeze me in my tracks and I never really like what I end up with when I follow them, but I suppose this is OK. I knew that my Flower Blocks rose would work with the pink and red! I stamped it twice, once on watercolour paper and once on Bazzill. Misted the one on watercolour paper and added Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick re-inkers. Centre was coloured first with a Sakura Glaze pen to act as resist. I cut it out and popped it up on the Bazzill square, after first stamping it with Weathered in brown because I didn't like the way it looked left solid. Same treatment for the main Bazzill layer, and to finish off I added a tag and some gold cording (thanks, Susie ;-)).

I love that Spellbinders set of squares, it adds such an elegance to your card--beautiful. Lovely coloring of the floral blossom, and the corner dies add a further elegance too. And that crackle texture you've used adds a lovely touch. I don't tend to make square cards as often, and am looking to change this. Thank you for sharing this card, so balanced and well-executed. I look forward to seeing your other cards in your gallery.

Sabrina, this is gorgeous. I love how your flower looks. Color challenges are hard for me because something gets lost in the translation from the colors on my computer screen, my head and my finished project... then add trying to photograph it. I'm sure when people see some of my projects they think... What was she thinking. I really like the little gold cording on your tag on your card.

More than "ok", Sabrina, if this is frozen in your tracks, I'd like to see you unthawed!! Just beautiful, you've brought out the beauty of the flower as well as the colour combo!

What a beautifully shaded and framed flower! Love the tones you used in your coloring! That crackled brown background brings out the brilliant colors so wonderfully!
