I'm on a mission to use all my stamps throughout this year so this one is an oldie but goodie! I'm pretty sure I added onto my order just to be able to order this hostess set way back when! Anyway, I pulled it out as I wanted to feature a large quote on the "circle"portion of the sketch from Ally and decided the dragonflies would look good on there too. I started by die cutting a white piece in my Floral Frame. I kept the die in place and started sponging using Soft Sky over the whole piece. I then added Tempting Turquoise from the edges in toward the center part way. Last was some Indigo just around the edges. The sentiment was inked in Versamark then Indigo and embossed with clear ep. The dragonflies were stamped in Eggplant without reinking each time. I added shimmer with some silver sparkle dazzling details. I layered a Turquoise circle over a silver glimmer one. My card base is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" as per the Tent Topper Tutorial and has dp layered first then an embossed Eggplant. I positioned it by laying my card base on my Scoring Board with the bottom at the 5 1/2" point. I then popped my floral image frame onto this so that the top of the card extended and almost reached the top of my board. If that sounds confusing watch Beate's tutorial and all will be made clear I layered an accent piece of Turquoise and Silver Glimmer paper circles with an organdy bow accented with a silver brad. I actually tied the bow and added a brad to it.
I'm counting this as my first Love Fest challenge card also though my critters aren't so cuddly, they are critters nonetheless!

This fits the DINSP0214 challenge too - did you see that one? It's butterflies, but the colors are similar. I wouldn't say dragonflies are cuddly, but they do make me feel warm and fuzzy when they're flying in the sun! So pretty.

Wow Gail! I am in love with the teal and purple colour combo! Gorgeous! What a beautiful sentiment and focal image you created! A fabulous sketch example this week!

nicely done, Gail, and what fun to purpose using old treasures along the way! I am curious how you are going through all the golden oldies...did you make a list and are checking off as you go??? I am afraid it would take me longer than a year...
