The desk is my old sewing table. The sewing machine is still behind the long door, though I seldom use it anymore except for mending and small jobs. I used another tiered spice shelf for odds and ends and attached four curtain rods next to the desk for my lever punches. Overflow punches (borders, etc.) are in the bottom desk drawer. The paper shelves are mostly the neutral 8.5" x 11" card stock for card bases; the larger sheets and patterned papers are stored in the closet, away from the window light that might fade them.
My chair doesn't really fit the "antique" feel of my room, but it is padded, comfy, and rolls. I found it in a used furniture store at a great price, so I didn't worry too much about the aesthetics. At least it's the right color!

The idea for using the curtain rods is so unique and inexpensive--don't even have to have a handy hubby! Are there any problems with them bending or bowing?
Mollymyra: Not so far. I've taken them down when painting the room and re-attached them with no problem. They are the extension-type rods, so if you get the "short" measurement as close to the length you need, you essentially have a "two ply" rod, which is quite sturdy. I use the same idea in my laundry room for hanging trigger bottles of household cleaners.
