This is for two challenges today. Our wonderful talented featured stamper...Kathleen Curry.....come check out her super colorful and gallery of so many neat things. I kept looking back and forth and kept coming back to this one...Be Mine by Kathleen Curry at Splitcoaststampers
I have never made a round easel card and loved her colors .I changed the paper and pictures but kept almost the colors and shape and still added the flowers and pearls.
I followed the tutorial from splitcoast here..which is fantastic for us newbs at these things...TY...used my new stamp I got from ODBD the teacup, colored it with normal markers, spnged the edge with the pink and did a touch of shading of the cup and doily under it with a soft bluey grey water color crayon and water pen. then thought every lacey cup also needs velvet so threaded it around the die-cut and made the roses for the side with colors from the flowers by cutting the flowers out and squishing them around a pen tip and leaving the lasst pink or purple one flat and gluing that onto a green flower for the green leaf base, so fun. Made the inside with a verse from ODBD saying I am beggining to learn it is the sweet simple things in life that are the real ones, by...Laura Ingalls Wilder.
this also fits into this fun ODBD challenge to use the word LOVE....
...L...Layers or Lacey Circle
...O...Opulant cup of Tea
...V...Velvet
...E...Easel
TY guys for the fun challenges and for you all for the visit. Ill make a cup of Tea...;0).
