I wanted to color something that I felt passionate about. Of course that would be flowers, but more specifically these hollyhocks. They remind me of me dad and my grandfather. They are such an old fashioned flower. They feel antique and vintage to me.

Your "memory" card is beautiful, Kim. (My mother grew hollyhocks too). Your flowers are always beautiful and these are no exception. Love the pink and green with the lacy paper doily and pretty DP. The crystal gem is a lovely accent too.

You are right. The holyhock does have an old time, feel good quality. Love how you paired the flowers with the lace and my favorite dark green. Such a pretty card. You would love the grocery stores here in southern cal this time of year - racks of primroses and other spring flowers for sale everywhere.
