I made this for our color challenge today. Sallie is a guest hostess this month and she gave us some awesome colors...pumpkin pie, primrose petals and basic gray. For dessert we were to make an interesting bg. I sponged some pumpkin pie and gray around the white areas. I repeatedly stamped the summertime bouquet itty bitty from Unity and colored in with markers. Next, I dry embossed my homemade dp and finished it off with Inka Gold metallic rub in copper. I embossed the basic gray layer, too and put the copper on that as well. The sentiment had been attached to the butterfly stamp, but I fussy cut the butterfly out and stamped just the sentiment and punched it out. Lastly, I stamped the butterfly in walnut and colored with pumpkin pie and the tiny hearts in primrose petals. Oh, I put shimmer paint in gold on the butterfly.

This is just gorgeous. I can't believe you made that background. It is a fabulous dessert because I thought it was very interesting. Could have sworn it was dp.

Pam...GORGEOUS!! You took "interesting" to heart and created a magnificent bg...prettier than any DP you could purchase. It is exquisite and a beautiful bg for your lovely butterfly. An amazing card!
