I've been taking an online stencil class which has got me more comfortable with adding more texture to my cards. So I thought I'd try to do a bit more Mixed Media (though I'm not very good at it).
So I'm hoping this will qualify for this week's Mixability Challenge - "Loving Layers" - to use 3 or more layers of mixed media product. I used a color mist, a color wash, and a glimmer spray to put down some base colours - though I guess they're all pretty much the same type of product. Then I added some pearlescent paste through a stencil. I layered on a die cut heart that was coloured with my color wash and mist, and inked a sentiment.
The sentiment is for the Free for All challenge to incorporate the word "love" into the card.
Not sure if this is still a CAS card - I need to find a way to use all the mixed media stuff but still keep my cards basically CAS.

Great looking card! How brave of you to try all of these things on one card - it was worth the effort because it turned out so well. I have been liking the looks of the paste and just may have to give it try after seeing your sample. TFS!

Oooh I likie! That pearlescent paste is gorrr-jus! How clever to deceive my eye with the wonderful die cut! I immediately saw the heart from the thumbnail, and it's even more interesting up close. I want to touch it! Thanks so much for playing the mix-abilities challenge this week!

Susan, your card is fantastic!!! If I tried that technique I would have mist all over...maybe I'll try it this summer when I can go outside because it is a very striking medium. tfs

Susan, this is terrific! I love everything about it! The misting looks great - that's something I always struggle with. (I think we must be doing the same stenciling class, although I just got in on it on Thursday.)
