The other day, Lydia, stamped with milk. She posted a photo on facebook and asked people to guess what she used. There were some really weird answers, like crushed bugs. Well, I am always up for trying something new. I looked at what was on my desk and decided to craft with it. Look closely at my flower. Can you guess how I colored it? and how the center of the flower was done? ...ketchup. Yep, I said ketchup. I had a package of Heinz ketchup. I put some on a lid and used my finger to spread it all over the flower. It gave it a rich orange color. It also smelled good and made me hungry. I then took the last little bit of ketchup and poured it into a puddle in the center of the flower and I let it dry overnight. It was an interesting experiment to say the least. When it was dry I traced the puddle with a gold marker and added some gold dots to the center.

You are so creative MariLynn!! I love your flower and butterfly. I also like how you created the mixed media card. They might start selling ketchup in the craft stores now. :>)

This is not weird. This is genius! Ketchup, really? You make me want to get out my big shot and start squishing veggies! How fun and what a fabulous card it turned out to be.

Okay, so as I am reading your post, I am imagining doing this myself and I can smell the ketchup! Yummy. This is such a beautiful, artistic creation. I love all of the TLC it got. Such wonderful embellies. Awesome blossom!
