For this week's sketch challenge. Oh, this card was great fun to make!
I was blessed to have spent some time, yesterday, with Susan (One4joy), including lunch. I was served a lovely 3-beet salmon salad, which was truly amazing. When I was finished, there remained on my plate, perfectly swirled beet juice. We both pressed our paper napkin closures into the juice (Mine is part of the bottom banner.) and I used an extra napkin to make the bg for the big panel. The napkin was separated from the back ply, xyroned to a piece of scrap cs, and embossed. So- how many of us make art from our lunches?
Of course, it fits for the DD Dirt Cheap theme challenge.

I am laughing out loud here and not surprised at the beauty of your card! YOU did have first dibs on the beet juice! love love the fun we had and the creativity here. I am still 'stewing' over my beet paper...but expect something special in the galleries soon with our custom made recycle, one of a kind, trend setting art!

Oh my gosh, I love this! So glad other people use "weird" stuff to come up with backgrounds - my DH thinks I'm nuts sometimes!
This really is absolutely gorgeous!

Brenda, this is drop dead gorgeous. When I read your deets...let's say I'm impressed. Only another stamper could understand this behavior. This really was one of the first food coloring that was used years ago to dye many things...including easter eggs. My grandmother used beet juice and onion skins. You and Susan have probably started a new trend. Into my favs for more people to see this. tfs
