You people have NO IDEA what I went through to produce this card...I almost died! I had to take a blood pressure pill to alleviate the stress caused by this challenge!! I'm POSITIVE the amphetamines and caffeine had NOTHING to do with any of it! Now, I know that most of you think I exaggerate and for the life of me I simply cannot see why...but I went through TONS of attempts before getting this to a point where I won't be too embarrassed for someone to see it up close and personal. Well, I'm probably going to be embarrassed but I'll make sure whomever receives this will also be showered with enough goodies that they'll never tell a soul. In the morning...or later this morning (I'm sleeping in...it's a snow day for the kids and, I'm sorry, but I did NOT agree to this snow day crap so I'm waiting it out under the covers, thankyouverymuch) I'll show you how many attempts it took...I think you'll be quite surprised to see I'm NOT exaggerating about how many 'takes' this took. Like a million of them...or seven, at least!!!

LOL at lots of whining! Carmen - this could come on its own and anybody would be delighted to receive it and display it. But - since I have yet to produce a brayered background that I'm prepared to make the effort to turn into a card, I do have some idea of what's involved if you're as brayer-challenged as I am. You've done a fantastic job creating a serene scene (at the expense of any serenity of your own, it sounds like) - and I've always loved that sentiment stamp.

Hmmmmm, you said amphetamines and caffeine like it is a bad thing....Miss Carmen your description made me laugh out loud and your beautiful card made my face and heart smile. If I am lucky enough to receive this, save the goodies, as I love everything about your wonderful creation. I have never heard of "snow day" but it makes sense, many kiddies couldn't return to school today as it is "bushfire" day!! Stay warm my friend.

Your perseverance certainly payed off as this lovely card shows. I live far from the sea but have always liked the imagery. I think this is just beautiful!

Our second snow (cold day since wind chill had it 30 below one day and minus 20 last night) in a row here--like the snow but not the cold. After as many tries as you said, your card turned out great--love the verse and the coloring is very nice and the sky--pretty--still laughing from you story!

I threw my brayer away I sucked at it so badly. I bought mine at a convention where they were brayering this and that and made it look easy. personally I find watercolouring the easiest way to colour the sky. Sorry about your near nervous breakdown, but the end result is gorgeous.
