I was able to combine today's CC & TPT 'Tickle a Teapotter' challenges. I even did it on Tuesday!!
The teapotters destinations this week is each other. Sabrina asked that we use a lighthouse. Well, it just so happens that at the end of my street stands the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse & Marine Museum. It is no longer a working lighthouse. Here is some info on the lighthouse if you are interested. One cool thing that happens at Christmas is the Grinch comes, climbs the 69 spiral steps to the top & reads "How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I hate to admit that I have not been inside for a very long time. Now I'm wondering if they might have a stamp!! And, yes, I've been to the top!
On to my card....
I stamped the image, masked it off & sponged the Tangerine & Saffron sky. Then I masked off the water & sponged with Caribbean. Then masked off & sponged the ground with Crumb Cake & Sahara. Finally I colored the light with Basic Black marker & cut it out around the rectangle, cutting off the encouraging words. I stamped other encouraging words in the upper corner.
I hope my teapotter friend who receives this will like it. Here are some pictures of the current Fairport working lighthouse at the mouth of the Grand River & some of the historic light if you are interested.
Thanks for stopping by.

Very pretty Karen. Your lighthouse scene looks so serene and realistic. One can almost feel the ocean breeze by looking at this.
