Been missing awhile, went on vacation to Cabo, had a lovely time. When we got home DH and I both got sick. Had a few days to try and get well but then had to go to work while trying to recuperate. Still not feeling 100 percent, but good enough to get back into the swing of things.....making cards!!!.....details...
Made my bg using my Gelli Plate and some fun foam stamps I made by gluing cut out shapes and sticking them on carpet tape that was put on more fun foam.
Made the "Hello" by writting it backward then putting it on stamp carving thing and proceeded to carve it out turning it into a stamp. Make sense?
Put dry wall tape on my bg rubbing some metallic gold over top. Stamped the doodled border using Dylusion stamp.
Using a stencil and black acrylic paint I put on the butterflies and flower.
Put this all on a white. Done......
Had fun making this, hope you like looking at it.....TFL :0)
Hi Sis!
P.S.....Curt is still on vacation. Hopefully he will be back at the Teapot Party next week, unless of course he catches what DH and I had. Hopefully not! :0)

Oh, Cathy, I'm sorry you were sick - I hope it didn't undo all the good of your holiday. And I hope you feel fully better soon.
I thought this would be a challenge you'd enjoy. How smart, too, to use carpet tape to mount your stamps. I love those silhouette images against your gorgeous orange background.

I hope you are feeling better and this is fabulous. It sounds like a lot of work went into this. If you do this not feeling well, just think what you'd do feeling good! I love this.

I love your card Cathy!! It is the warm orange and yellow that really appeal to me. It' WAY too cold here. Excellent job making the hello stamp. You're awesome!! I hope you feel better soon. I think I have a touch of a sinus infection, but have been refusing to get antibiotics.

You were much more daring that I. I wasn't sure I could do that writing backward stuff. Your card is amazing, and you have been missed. Glad you're back and hope you are back to feeling 100% really soon. )

Missed your fun cards...glad to know you were vacationing. Love your card with the warm colors. You amaze me.....not everyone can write backwards! Cool card! Tfs
Fabulous card! Love the texture, the lively colors, the silhouettes but mostly that wonderful *hello*. What a great job you did creating your stamp! Hope you feel completely better real soon!
