Try A New Technique's Challenge is to Make Your Own Stamp and the CAS Challenge this week is a Color Challenge. I love carving stamps and I love those yummy colors in the challenge so I had to do both of them.
I used a Dover clip art image, transferred it to a carving block and carved out the white spaces. When the stamp was finished, I stamped the image on a white c.s. panel using kraft dye ink. The image was colored with Copics and then the panel was popped up with foam tape onto a card base. I decided not to put a sentiment on it at this time because I could use it for either an anniversary or a special birthday. I'm sure it would work for Valentine's Day, too, but I don't think my husband would be impressed with a vase of roses on his card, lol. These were both fun challenges for me.
Thanks for looking! I hope my card helps to inspire you to create a card, too.

Oh wow - that is just SO amazing. I can't believe, even with a clip-art image to start with, that you carved that out! I do believe you, actually, I just don't believe that I could ever achieve something like that. It's so evident that you love and are experienced at this. It's so elegant and classic and timeless - I saw it as Valentine's, or an anniversary card.
