Yeah, donidoodle, it's your time in the spotlight! Love your CAS style...hope you like my take on Candy Cane Girl. Of course, I had to totally grunge this up (!!!) and lucky me, I received happy mail yesterday from sisterSandie that included several sheets of Basic Grey's Obscure paper (long retired). The very, very, very busy background pattern was just what I needed to begin an
encouragement card for eldest DS. I used one of the mod Tim Holtz embossing folder. Can you see the random swirling patterns on top of said busy paper?
And actually the whole {key} to my card was this awesome quote from Roseanne Cash, translated to rubber by our own talented Dina Kowal. All the other bits and baubles just fell into place. Adding the pom pom lime green trim in place of the ribbon on Doni's and the TH key 'journey' instead of a sentiment banner.
I kept the layout, the embossing bg...went wild with the chaos paper and my trims.
And while this card will go in the mail tomorrow for my son, it's good message I am tucking away for myself...there are some lessons that bear repeating!
Hope everyone is having a marvelous Sunday and for Doni...congratulations! Thanks for stopping by

You've used your "busy" paper to make a wonderful statement, Susan! Love the message and the bits and pieces that make this a special card for your DS…so unique and beautiful!

This is such a nice card Susan!! I love your wild bg and it looks especially cool being embossed. You used your sentiment in a nice way on the edge of your card. Very cool!! Your son will love this.
