For this week's warm/cool ways-to-use-it challenge. I threw a tantrum. Because we're not freezing here in western Oregon, I'm assigned warm colors. SO NOT WARM! It's foggy gray and we really need the rain and mountain snowpack. In the midst of my snit fit, I threw together a card that I later decided is more appropriate for the mini-vsn challenge I'm hosting... so you all will have to wait for that one.
Then I remembered that the best remedy for rebellious temper is gratitude, so I made thank you cards using warm colors. I used a quilters' trick (wonky stars) to make this set. Can you figure out how the stars were made?
These are so cool. I have a friend who quilts. I'm asking her how to do this. Love your cards!
ETA: I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to cut these pieces easily. I found a pattern, Confetti Stars, that looks like this, but I still don't see a way to cut them without tracing each individual piece. How about a tutorial? lol.
