This is my sample for today's WT~ Cool or Warm Colours and also a more successful attempt at last week's MIX51 Speedbumps.
(When I made this sample I didn't realise Linda was setting a temperature for hot and cold. It's not actually 32F here - but the advised "real feel" is below that (and it's too early in the morning for me to convert my Celsius real feel {-3C}into Fahrenheit), so I still reckon I'm eligible to upload this for the challenge. To me it's still cold if I don't go out without a hat and gloves!!
I used a piece of watercolour paper that was in my scrap pile so the finished card is 4" wide by 7" high.
I wet the paper and then added four different colours of Twinkling H2Os as a watercolour wash. Along the bottom I painted some tacky glue and added microbeads and flower soft.
After that was dry, I painted over it with white acrylic paint - success for the MIX challenge!!!
Trees cut from pearlescent card and misted with some unknown spray to tone them down a bit. Edges distressed and sponged with ColorBox Harbor. I added a sentiment from Flourishes to go with my little wooden bird, and then added a frame with a Sakura stardust pen and black marker.

Flower soft under the paint......why didn't I think of that? It will make a good use of the flower soft that I just had to have and have never used. I love the soft colour of this card too.

You have captured an icy cold morning beautifully. Just the right amount of pinks and blues and sparkling crunch of snow below the trees. It's the quietness of those early mornings that carry us away in sweet thought. Beautiful card.
