This is my design for the January Christmas Card Challenge. Susanbri challenged us to make a card based on the idea of peace.
I chose the basic "Peace on Earth" sentiment and combined it with some pretty, peaceful colors. I got the layout idea from MargitsSchatztruhe's card - Christmas card by MargitsSchatztruhe at Splitcoaststampers. To my disappointment, the Winter Frost stack was extremely limited in the papers included and mostly stuck to the paler blues in the set. This striped paper was only one sheet in the 12x12 paper pack, so I am cutting thin strips of it to make it stretch farther.
The ornaments on the tree are covered in glossy accents. I edged the sentiment window with stickles, then popped it with dimensionals.

Oh this is lovely! I love your CAS Christmas card. I usually start mine in June but it is tempting to get started now. Beautiful colours with just the right amount of sparkle. Wonderful!

I agree about the disappointment about there only being one sheet of the best designer cardstock. But, I wanted it, so I got it anyway. Good for SU, but not a good deal for us, huh?
