This is the card I made following the Layered Gesso tutorial. I followed pretty closely, but sanded back the second layer of gesso, and added a couple of washes of watered down acrylic paint. I think there are eleven or twelve layers that make up the background, so I won't go into all the details. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, even though you can barely see the butterflies stamped in the second layer...

Oh my gosh this is fabulous and exactly the background we all hope to achieve! Just gorgeous, so soft and dreamy! Right into favorites it goes. Love the embossing in the corners too.

Wow....look at this....what a gorgeous piece of art....I've been meaning to look into gesso (I know absolutely nothing about it) and you've just inspired me to get moving!!
