Oooops! I spent more time fixing mistakes on this card than coloring the image. First, thanks for the great challenge- I love the look of copics with pencils and I never thought to try it. Quick question-is Gamisol the same thing as mineral spirits? I started with a heart digi stamp, colored it with copics and pencils. I like the white pincil for highlights. Cut it with the rectangle die cut and sponged the edge with peacock distress ink. My sponges are awful and a blob of ink fell where I didn't want it. Didn't plan on using the splatter stamp but it worked to cover the blob. Cut out the background papers and added a plum boarder to each one. When cutting the boarder on the teal stripped paper (I had already glued the teal to the plum) the blade on my paper trimmer was dull and the paper shredded. Fast fix number 2 - I distressed the edges of this panel. Adhered all the layers and, of course, didn't have any purple bakers twine, so I had to substitute plain purple. The unfortunate thing is that I have to make another of this card - they are valentines for my two teenage sons.

Ha, I have had so many "saves" cards the whole story had me grinning like a loon and nodding my head...
great save! I love the vibrancy of the colors and I would never have thought to add gamsol or another chemical over the pencils over the copic's ( I left my pencils neekid on mine)

Love that image...so pretty!! I have been just where you were making this card. Makes you just want to throw up your hands and trash things, at times. You made a great save with the splatter stamp. Turned out to be a wonderful creation. Good for you hanging in there.

Gosh - it doesn't look to me as if you had any mistakes on this card, it looks just FAB. I love the colour palette and your colouring is amazing.
Gamsol is the same as mineral spirits, it's just a common brand name ;-).

Terrific card, especially with as much effort as it demanded you provide to it! I've had similar bossy projects. Thanks so much for participating in my MIX challenge! -Anna.
