Today's Free for All Challenge was to Pay it Forward by creating a card for someone specific who needs a lift and then getting the card to them. I work in a small locally owned chocolate shop, Divine Treasures. Yesterday one of our regular customers came in and was sharing some difficulties she was having in her life. I made this card for her and hope that the store owner can get it to her since they take yoga classes together.
I also used this week's Color Challenge colors and today's Mixability challenge to use pencils over markers. I just got a set of Derwent Inktense pencils at an awesome price from Amazon and wanted to use them. I laid a base of light pinky purple color on the angels dress and then added shading and color variation with some pencils. I did end up using some water with the pencils to get the depth of color I wanted on the lower part of the skirt.
