In keeping with a resolution I made to myself to play more with paint and inks (like true artists), I decided to get messy with todays colors, Rich Indigo Night. A very cool choice, by the way, Becky.
My background is a fabulous new to me Hero Arts wood block stamp in the Stamp Your Story series. I applied the Tim Holtz di inks directly to the stamp and misted with water. Laid the card stock on top, put a paper towel down and pressed away. Love how the colors bled into one another.
The sentiment (also a Hero Arts) was stamped with black and I stamped the crown a second time, embossing in gold ep and then fussy cutting. It is scored an popped up. I added alphabet brads 'round' the corners to let someone special know this was created especially for her. I added the year 2014 and a snippet of lace to the top. IRL, the lace is a perfect match for the razzelberry color.
And so I finish with life is messy, but we are indeed overcomers, may we never forget where our confidence can be found!
Thanks for stopping by today and always the gift of your compliments. Can't wait to peruse the gallery for all the amazing takes on this color challenge.

I believe that sentiment was not only meant for Erin, but for you also, Susan! You had the confidence to try something with paints and get inky in the process, but you persued anyhow! Good for you! I love this personalized card, and how the colors blended so beautifully~
