This is my card for the MIX49 challenge "Happy Little Clouds" - to create fingerpainted clouds on our projects using acrylic paint or gesso.
I've tried this in the past with not-so-good results, but today practicing was working so well I just kept on going, using gesso on a scrap piece of textured blue cs. Then I had to decide what to do with a wide, skinny piece of cloudy sky...
I traced around the negative of the MB Country Landscape die and water colored my little scene with Distress inks and markers, then outlined for more definition. I thought it still needed something, so I added the Craft's Meow Stitched Sentiments stamp. Not my norm to have words on the front of my cards, but I like how it turned out. I'm especially glad I didn't have to figure out how to fix it if I messed up the stamping! The stamp set was part of my prize from HYCCT - how sad that The Craft's Meow has gone out of business...
As always, thanks for looking!

Awesome little scene! Your clouds are fantastic and how clever of you to trace the country landscape die and then paint it (hmm..I have that die..you're giving me ideas). I think the sentiment works perfectly right there....way to go on this MIX challenge

Aww, I didn't know they went out of business :( But your card turned out fantastic!!! How COOL that you made a cloud bank!!! I never would have thought of that, but LOVE how it looks!!! It reminds me of shen I lived in the Oakland Hills and looked across the bay to the often cloudy San Francisco! Your rolling hills and little houses are so cute! Love the borders and sentiment too! Fabulous card Jody!!!
