This was an absolute killer to get to look just the way I wanted.....and I'm not thrilled with the results.....it looked WAY better in my head.....but when I discovered I had ALL THREE of the colours I needed to create it....I was bound and determined. The 'crystals' are those little plastic frame thingys that SU came out with a while ago. I fed the ribbon through the slots, glued the ribbon to the plastic with a teeny tiny dot of Tombow multi then tied the bow. The sparkly paper is then glued to the ribbon so the glue won't show. Then I mounted them on gold cardstock...then on black cardstock.
EDIT: Okay....I've been shamed into finding out what the thingys are......lol.....I did a little poking around and discovered they are called Beveled Windowpanes. I also edited my details to be a bit more specific. I have to say, I don't recommend these things. The tiniest bit of glue shows up like crazy, which is what made them so hard to make....plus they scratch really, REALLY easily.
Sigh. It's me again. I found a tutorial on YouTube that shows you how it's SUPPOSED to be done.

I knew exactly which image you had selected when I saw your card, you did an amazing job of capturing a design directly from your inspiration piece! GORGEOUS! Thanks for playing and sharing!

Oh my. I stopped before I got to your inspiration or I probably would have done it too. Such great colors and "you did it again". This is beautiful. I don't think you can make a card that is not elegant.

When I saw this, I was wondering what you used to get the gemstone appearance on your card. I don't remember the "thingies", but I think that this is a real GEM of a card. Beautiful!
