'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
Frances has two challenges for the CCEE Stampers before we take our Christmas break, and the first one is inspired by the above lines from The Night Before Christmas - we're to use a stocking on our cards today.
No stocking dies here, but no problem because I knew instantly I wanted to use this sweet stamp. I paired it with a paper which reminds me of quilts .
Image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and a white gel pen. Piercing on the scalloped circle. I used a grunge sentiment from LOTV, distressed a bit and with the ornaments coloured with gel pens. Edges of the DP distressed and layered on burgundy card. Image and sentiment popped up on foam, and I finished it off with some fancy corners.
If you have a stocking to add to your project, join us by linking on the blog or by using the keyword here in the SCS gallery.

What a perfectly darling image!! that little mousie is certainly not stirring, all cuddled in his wee bed, and he's keeping his stocking very close, isn't he!!!
