This card is for today's Color Challenge and yesterday's Technique Challenge. As always, the scan is not really good at showing the sparkle of glitter or a glittery embossing powder. I embossed the main image with gold powder, Colored it with markers and blender pens and pad, and then fussy cut the image for today's dessert option. I cut a small oval from Vanilla CS and ran it through the embossing folder. I inked this with Versamark ink and then used Iridescent Ice EP to give me the glitter for yesterday's Technique Challenge. This made a wonderful backgkround for my image and added that festive holiday feel to the card. I cut a gold oval and then a Daffodil Delight Oval. The yellow seemed just a bit strong for the card despite the touch of Daffodil Delight on the flowers, so I used the Weathered background stamp and gold ink and EP to tone it down a bit. I kept the background simple with a striped background paper. I embossed the greeting and I was done.

I love how you framed your image with ovals. Such a classy look! When I saw the colours for the colour challenge I couldn't imagine what people would do with it. This is a beautiful example. Really nice!

Beautifully composed card, Kathy. Your poinsettias and pine boughs are a lovely focal point. LOVE the stripe DP.....looks like one of those that SU discontinued(which I loved).
