This card has been in progress for a long time! Nancy (stiz2003) came to visit a few weeks afer my knee surgery. She brought along these TH die cut skates. That day I set all the eyelets & laced the skates. I also pierced the 'seams' for stitching, which I did weeks later. Then last week I went to her house & almost finished - I raided her box of DP. She didn't have the size brad I wanted to use, so tonight I finished it up!! It's a little smaller than 5x7. Nancy also gave me the fern & holly leaf punch outs.

Nice skates card, Karen! Glad to hear you're up and about and on the move. I haven't cut my skate die as yet but I plan to do it this weekend. Hope I can figure out how to lace them correctly!

those skates are stellar and look so lovely on your card. Isn't it fun to have lots of bits and pieces in a later box...seeds of ideas waiting to be born! Happy Thanksgiving my dear oHIo friend.
hugs

Nancy is such a sweetie pie!!! Karen, your skates turned out fantastic! I can only imagine how long it took to set each of the eyelets, so perfectly placed! Awesome job with the sewing too!!!
