This is for the December 2013 Stampin' Up! Creative Crew challenge - Scrapbook and More Focus. Make a calendar, to-do list, booklet or journal for a friend to use in 2014.
I used a 4" x 6" unlined notepad and used a piece of Basic Gray cardstock to make a cover. I added a layer of Epic Day DSP, stamped a few arrows and embellished with Epic Day stickers and washi tape. I wanted to keep the cover flat so if the notepad gets tossed into a bag or purse, embellishments aren't getting caught and pulled off.
Inside the cover I used repositionable adhesive to add one of the envelopes from the Epic Day journal (great for receipts, coupons, etc.). The clip on the side of the notepad also helps secure the envelope. To keep the notepad closed I tied a piece of ruffle stretch trim in a loop and slipped it around the notepad. Thanks for looking!
