I was away last weekend and these days life is often too busy to play catch-up. So I was glad that today was a more leisurely day at home and I had time to play along in the IC challenge. DH is a fountain-pen junkie, so he enjoyed looking at the Pinterest page too .
Because I love music, I chose this pen.
The tree panel was sitting on my desk, a reject from the sketch challenge the week before last. I thought I could stamp music across it, and the warm colours were good for the pen image, if a bit darker. So I stamped the PSX stamp partly across my tree panel, and then also on the base to match up. After a bit of messing around and rejecting two other base panels, I'm fairly happy with this one. I stamped the kraft with Linen in Faded Jeans, and the leaves in Frayed Burlap, masking off the edges beyond the black lines. To pick up on the metal elements on the pen I coloured the little flowers with a gold pen and added some Stickles. To finish off I added a music-themed sentiment.

I was hoping someone would choose that pen! Your inspiration piece is beautifully designed. A pleasure to look at! Thanks so much for playing and sharing your inspiration and personal story today!
Great card!! I saw that pen and really liked that one too! I wanted to go back and play some more, but just haven't had the chance. Love the music notes at the bottom!

This is lovely, Sabrina! I know just how music "gets" to people. I can't create w/o music playing. Singing along is a given...tho I still don't have my voice completely back after the laryngitis a couple of weeks ago.
I love those skeleton leaves and the trees in the diamond. Lovely & serene!
