Another fun day in card making! Thanks Jeanne and Janelle for the wonderful challenges.....details....
For the F4A challenge we were to have a heart. To make my hearts I first ripped a page out of a book, painted it with matte medium then glued it to some cs.
After it dried, I stenciled the hearts using a stenicil with several hearts on it. Once it was dried, I filled in the open parts with the Sakura pen then traced around then with a black pen. Decided to keep them together when cutting them out.
For the bg, I put black gesso on white cs, let it dry. Since the MIX challenge was to use feathers, I took white paint and a "faux" feather stencil and proceeded to stencil them on. The feather closest to the bottom has a hint of green in it because I used a dirty sponge not thinking the color would come off with the paint. Liked the look so kept going with it.
Put my black panel on a silver card popping up the row of hearts on the side. The strip is a tad larger then the actual card, but according to my DS, that's what looks cool. I will just have to make a special envelope for it. hehe
Well like I said above, another fun day in card making. Have a great weekend all!.....TFL :0)
Hi Sis!
Might just give this to DH for our anniversary and skip making the "special" envelope.

Very cool card Cathy! Love the column of hearts with the print behind them and your feathers are awesome!!! I thought they were evergreen branches when I saw the thumbnail image, but they are wonderful and a little bit abstract feathers! I think it makes an excellent Aniversary card for dh!!!

Cute! Love the stacked hearts! Hey remember when you sent my nephew Mark a card during his cancer treatment? Thanks again! He is doing great and in remission!
