Oh my goodness I didnÂ’t think Teapot Tuesday would ever get here. 42,000 Teapotters all over the world were exchanging emails in pursuit of the sneaky little TPT cheater email we get in order to make a head start. Thankfully our high priestess Miss Sheri discovered that cyberspace had eaten the initial email and sent another one.
As you can see this is not a stairstep card and there are no little people with dislocated limbs, gosh there isnÂ’t even a pushbike. There is however a fence, window and lots of little hydrangea flowers reminiscent of many of my Teapot cards.
Our cards are going to Evelyn (mum of our very own JDmommy aka Anne). Evelyn is 21 years of age with an additional 70 years experience!!
We had a wonderful story this week about Miss Evie-Lyn wanting to turn “all white” gardens into a flurry of colour. Evelyn loves Irises and the Boston Red Sox….for me that equals a day and a half…..so I have created a rose/hydrangea garden with a promise to make a more suitable card next weekend.
The beautiful leaf that I converted into a tree was a gorgeous diecut goodie I received in a tickle from Jennifer (our very own MotherÂ’s Daughter). In honour of EvelynÂ’s 91st birthday I punched and shaped 91 little hydrangea flowers. 50 of them are stuck on this card, the other 41 are stuck to my arm, leg, foot and floor. Long story short, I knocked a pot of glue over, jumped up quickly, flowers flew everywhere and settled all over me and the floor. On the positive side, 50 flowers on this card is probably the right amount.
I added liquid pearls to the centre of each flower and also used a pink and green Zig Swish of Stella brush here and there. It is hard to see in the photo, but these brushes have a lovely hint of colour and subtle sparkle. I added some lace behind the window and coloured the top of the window arch with a gold pen.
Thank you for looking. I will get this in the mail tonight and get back to you when I have made the card for Evelyn that is currently in my head LOL. Have a great week everyone.

Cute story and terrific card, Susie! LOVE the bkgrd paper w/the added flowers 91-41 ... hee! Great, colorful garden and sweet, lacy-curtained window. Your logic came at just the right time. In two weeks I will be 29 with an additional 26 yrs of experience. LOL

Susie, you're blooming with kindness and fun! No step card, what? Either way, this garden of roses and hydrangeas is beautiful! What a glorious place to spend time reminiscing about the days gone by, or planning a future garden! Evelyn will love the delightful garden!
