I put my own twist on the Northern Lights Technique. It required lots of patience during drying times. I stamped my baby bear image, colored them and flocked them. (dry) Then I did the background, brushing strokes of glue then adding glitter one color at a time, until satisfied. (dry) The spaces between the colors were bare and looked odd, so I put alcohol ink refiller into a liquid brush and saturated the back of the image so the color seeped through in the areas I wanted it to. (dry)
I added chunky style ice glitter to the bottom and glaze to the eyes and noses. (dry) Finally I embossed the sentiment with a mixture of Moss colored powder and stardust powder. Whew!
I wasn't too sure about it as I was creating it, it grew on me as the night wore on. Once it was all finished and dry, I have to admit, it's quite stunning in person. Very eye catching from across the room. LOL!
