Made this card using the August Christmas challenge listed under Monthly Themes. Also, entered into the Curtain Call challenge this week ( you would need to see their inspiration to understand why I did this card with faux wood.

I used the direct to paper faux wood technique by Lydia here in tutorials on SCS: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/re...tutorials/dtp/ ---- See step 5. It is listed under direct to paper techniques.

The Christmas challenge is Hang it All-Wreaths, mistletoe, garland, Christmas lights, ornaments, etc. I decided to do a garland.
