I love Elvis! Growing up, I enjoyed many Elvis movies on TV on Sunday afternoon. The Patton Museum on Fort Knox once had an exhibit, "Elvis Presley, Citizen Soldier"! It was AWESOME! I didn't go to see the tanks, man! I went to see the Elvis exhibit. LOL. I saw the tanks a couple other times. **wink** But yeah...sure did love that "Elvis Presley, Citizen Soldier" exhibit. It featured much Elvis memorabilia AND Elvis movies on the TV!
For the challenge, I first thought I would do a beach theme card, as I remember "beachy" Elvis movies...then I thought...he has a lot of "blue" songs. Then I thought...blue suede shoes...no...BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY! Yep...he sang Blue Moon of Kentucky. And what's more KY than basketball? Since I bleed blue, I had to feature UK. I know some die hard UK fans that live in Texas. This is gonna make someone very happy. Yup. I think so. I'm gonna have to make some more to send to some folks around here.
I love my Cameo! The state outline is a cut file created by Kinsey Wilson for a Studio Calico class. The basketball is also a cut file from the Silhouette store. I pressure embossed the Pumpkin Pie CS. Is that one awesome b-ball or WHAT?!?
I busted out SU! Varsity Alphabet for the very first time. Virgin rubber, baby! And the star marks the approximate location of Lexington, home of the Wildcats!
Go CATS!
