Hello friends, I started this earlier today but did other cards between steps on this one. I love Galatians 5:22
listing the fruit of the Spirit, so I decided to use my computer to make my BG. I had to stamp my pear first of course and mask it so that I would not have black words running through my pear, besides...that WAS the challenge after all. The pear itself was a little more labor intensive as I had embossed it with clear. I colored the pear where the embossing wasn't and then ironed off the embossing between newsprint. I then used my reverse mask and sponged in color where the embossing had been (except where the script is on the pear, I left that alone). I sewed around the edges and placed a "pear" green bow on the pear.
Thanks for peeking!

Amazing, Robin! I hadn't realised it was possible to iron embossing powder out enough to be able to add colour back in. Next time I have the ironing board up, ha ha, I must give that a go. I keep old telephone directories for ironing it out with on the occasions I've done faux batik. Used to work perfectly with real batik, after all.
The little bow is the most beautiful finishing touch to a gorgeous card with very creative masking - well done you!!
