Lisa (SinCityGal) asked us to mix things up with mixed media. This is not what I had in mind when I started out, but I spent too much time on it to start over.
I embossed a white piece of cs, then used Gelatos to make diagonal stripes on it. I punched butterflies out of 3 squares to place over the embossed layer. Then I colored a plain square with gold Gelato. Stamped the butterfly, used gold ep, filled in spaces with Copics, then fussy cut it and popped up on gold square. Made the sentiment panel using two punches. The only part I'm happy with is the gold embossed butterfly. I would have liked to have a border around everything, but as you can see, there really wasn't much room to make my squares smaller.
I gave it a difficulty level of "2" but I think I put enough work and fuss into it to be a "3." Ha!

Oh, why aren't you happy with the whole thing? It's really lovely! We're always so hard on ourselves. I think it turned out really pretty and the colors are lovely. Gelatos are SO fun! I'm so glad that you decided to play along with my challenge.

I like this, Val - it makes me stop and think which is good in a card. I like the way your coloured butterfly is heading in a different direction to the others.
Thanks for some lovely comments when I woke up this morning and checked my email .
